Welcome to the #StayAtHome TrainYAS Ramadan Challenge taking place between 4am on Sunday 26th April and Tuesday evening April 28th at 11pm (UAE Time).

You can choose from either a 2.5Km, 5Km or 10Km run.

This virtual run allows you to run at any time and on any route as long as it is in your home - on a treadmill, in the garden or around and around your lounge - your choice. When recording your activity, please think of the virtual runs like a real event, for example, if you have chosen to run 5K, you run 5K, come across the virtual finish line and stop your watch. It is important that you do not keep running or the run will not count if you go 5% over the distance of the contest you have entered.

How to Participate

1. Register for the event.

2. Connect either your Strava Account or your Fitbit account to inphota at https://www.inphota.com/profile/social/.

If you would like to submit results manually please indicate this during registration and we will email you a link to upload your run finish time as verification of your result and then you are able to download your Participation Certificate.

3. Begin running.

How to log a time

If you choose to automatically sync your results, once you've registered and connected your chosen device, then when you complete your run it will be added to the leaderboard. Simply record your run as you normally would and it will be shared with us once you save it.

This is a challenge that you can 'Run your own way' so runs can be completed either in your home, garden or on a treadmill. We recommend that if running indoors you check your device settings to run with GPS turned off or on an indoor running setting to record distance accurately.

What are time challenges?

Time challenges provide a way to register for and complete a real-world course at a convenient time. By pairing your Strava account you can record your time over the selected course using a mobile phone or connected wearable device. Once the activity has been completed you will be added to the leaderboard and will have the opportunity to attempt the course as many times as you like during the event dates to improve your position.

What are challenges?

Similar to time challenges, inphota challenges allow for completion of an activity without the need for a real-world course, or a pre-arranged gathering. By pairing your Fitbit account you can record your activity when convenient, and it will be counted towards the challenge that you register for. You have the opportunity to attempt the challenge as many times as you like during the challenge period to improve your position.

Prizes and rewards will be fulfilled upon completion of the challenge.

When will I appear?

Our leaderboards for this challenge show the best efforts by people who have registered for this contest, and completed a qualifying activity using their wearable device. For time challenges this must be a device which uploads to Strava, otherwise a Fitbit device.

To be considered for the leaderboard you have to follow several steps:

  1. Sign up for the contest that you're interested in
  2. Connect your Fitbit or Strava account to your inphota account so that we know when you attempt the challenge
  3. Complete a qualifying activity (as many time as you like!)
  4. Upload your workout

That's it! Just use your Fitbit or Strava account as you normally would, and we will automatically download the activity and put you on the leaderboard. Please note that this process can take up to an hour after you complete the upload.

If you're having problems, or you've done an effort that isn't appearing after this time, then please get in touch with our in-site chat system.
