HealthPlus Diabetes Day Run at Jubail Mangrove Park
In the unique setting of the Jubail Mangrove Park, HealthPlus and Jubail Mangrove Park will host the first ever run at Jubail Mangrove Park in support of World Diabetes Day.
REGISTRATION MAY CLOSE SOONER THAN EXPECTED, AS ENTRIES ARE LIMITED.
Runners and Walkers have the option of entering either 5km time trial run, the 5km run or the 2.2km sunset run/walk across the boardwalk.
The 5km time trial run will position runners starting every 10 seconds and take them across the cross country course towards Pura Eco Retreat before turning and heading back to commence the run across the mangroves boardwalk. Coming off the boardwalk, runners will then complete the last 500m across the undulating gravel paths back to the finish line. This contest is more for experienced runners who race alone against the clock.
The 5km Run/Walk is a self seeding run out towards Pura Eco Retreat following the same path as the time trial runners.
The 2.2km family sunset walk (run) is a unique opportunity to discover the wonders of the Jubail Mangroves as the sun sets over Abu Dhabi.
We welcome your support of this World Diabetes Day initiative whilst enjoying the sunset tranquility of one of Abu Dhabi's hidden gems - Jubail Mangrove Park.
All participants will receive a special t-shirt, finisher medal and a certificate of participation.
Note: Participation numbers for each distance are limited so please register early to avoid disappointment.
