Event info
The Daman Open Water Swim competition will return to Al Hudayriyat Island on Friday January 24.
Join us at this wonderful beach with your family and friends where you can participate by swimming in a range of swim distances.
Competition distances are 3Km (3000m), 1.5Km (1500m), 750m and, especially for the little ones, we are offering the 200m dash.

Travel advice
The event will be held at Al Hudayriyat Island in Abu Dhabi. There is ample parking available on-site for all participants and spectators.
Prizes & rewards
Every finisher will receive an Abu Dhabi Sports Council medal.
The top 3 in each age group will also be acknowledged with a special medal and podium presentation upon completion of the event.

Timing Chips & Results
Race chips are to be collected on the day at the Registration Desk set up near the start line on the beach. Please see above the schedule for registration desk timings.
Ensure your timing chip is secured around your ankle and returned to staff at the end of the race.

Please Note - This is a wetsuit optional event
If you are swimming in more than one contest you will be given a wristband to wear to identify you and you will swim in just the pink swim cap.
Cut Off Times
3,000m (3Km) swim - any swimmer failing to complete the first lap of the course inside 30 minutes or the second lap within 60 minutes will be stopped from starting their second or final lap. This timing is in place for the safety of all participants.

Finish Line
At the completion of your event please follow marshall instructions and remove yourself from the path of oncoming participants. Finisher medals and water will be available on the finish line.

Refund Policy - Registrants may request a refund or category change up to 7 days of the event date if the event has not closed or sold out. Submission of manual activities
The inphota platform allows submission of activities through many different means - Strava, Garmin, Fitbit - but we understand that sometimes it is preferable to submit the data in another way. To facilitate this we have produced a manual submission form which you can enter details of the activities for the contests that you have registered for.
To access the manual submission form you must be logged into the inphota account that registered for the contest, and have the details to hand. If you registered for the event using guest checkout then it is not possible to use the manual submission form.
Take advantage of quick registration
Quick registration will automatically add an item to your basket with the details that are listed against your inphota profile. This means that to make the most of quick registration you need to ensure that your profile is complete and up-to-date.
Don't worry, you can stil register without completing your profile, in the same way as you would family and friends.

Unfortunately this contest is restricted by age or gender, and the details in your profile do not fit within the restrictions laid out by the organiser. For this reason quick registration is not available.
However, you can still register for this contest through the usual means, and by filling out the details of the person that you want to register!
