Falcon Daman Challenge - Race 1 | Al Hudayriyat Island
The Falcon Daman Challenge launches this Monday February 1 and will contested over 3 events:
February 1, March 1 and April 5.
Riders will be awarded on their CHIP TIME (CHIP time being from the time the rider passes the start line until the time it takes to complete the 6 full laps of the 9km loop).
To keep it interesting for all riders we will award points for 1-20 and then 21 plus ie
1st 20Points, 2nd 19Points, 3rd 18Points, 4th 17Points, 5th 16Points, 6th 15Points, 7th 14Points down to 20th place and 1Point, 21st plus receives 1Point.
Results will be displayed as three divisions Emirati, Rest of the World and Global (all). Each Division will carry overall and Age Group.
A prize pool of AED12,000 has been allocated for the GLOBAL OVERALL with
1st Place 3,000
2nd Place 2,000
3rd Place 1,000
Age Group Winners will receive a Falcon Daman Trophy and a reward.
The Top Ranked teams for the series will also be recognised.
Should riders be equal on points the winner will then be decided on the lowest NET time for the 3 races.Distances:
Juniors: 8 km (1 x 8 km laps), 16 km (2 x 8 km laps)
Ladies & Men: 54.7Km (6 x 9.1 km laps)
Timings:
4:45 pm: Registration opens
5.45 pm: Start Juniors (8Km, 16Km)
6:55 pm: Start Ladies (54.7Km)
7:00 pm: Start Men (54.7Km)
PLEASE NOTE: Participants can ONLY use a road bike. No time trial, mountain, fixed gear, track bikes or any additional handlebar.
COVID-19 Protocols - All participants must provide a PCR negative test result to be within 72 hours of event day.
Participants vaccinated with the sign (*) or (E) in their ALHOSN app are exempted from having to obtain a PCR negative test result.
No spectators are allowed at the events start and finish zones.
